How do I sign up for a project?
To sign up for a volunteer project, you must create a HandsOn Bay Area (HOBA) online account and activate it via email. Click here to learn how to become a volunteer.
After you’ve created and activated your account, click the “Find a Project” button on the Menu Bar and select from a variety of search options including interest areas and location. If you’re browsing the calendar, look for a project with a green dot next it. (A green dot means that there is still space available for additional volunteers.) Click on the project name, and then click, “Sign me Up!”
After you sign up for a project, you will receive a confirmation email with details about location and how to contact your Project Leader. If at any time you learn that you will not be able to attend, please remove yourself from the project, so that someone else can sign up. Learn more about removing yourself from a project.
